Hey guys, happy 2016! It's been a minute.
I have thought of different ways to start this blog post, but nothing seems right or makes any sense.
2015 has been really overwhelming, it has been difficult- emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, financially and many more. I felt the weakest and the strongest at the same time.
At a point I didn't just think I could carry on, I felt depressed and everything felt so unreal, through it all, I kept smiling (cried sometimes), God proved himself so many times and gave me the strength till this day.
In this same year, I learnt a lot about myself, I worked as a beauty writer for an amazing website and learnt a lot, I am accepting that my journey is different from someone else's and I do not need to compare myself, I'm different and that's okay, I am a work in progress.
I had to take a break from blogging, I wasn't as consistent as I wanted to be, school work was (and still is) really taking most of my time and I really got tired of explaining to you guys.
I have thought about quitting a lot this year, but Winifred is not a quitter. I'm doing what I love and that's the only reassurance I need.
I'm learning to stop blaming myself for so many things that are beyond my control and just do what I need to do and what I can do to get to where I want to be, I'm going to keep doing what I love and explore different ways to make this work. I'm still growing, I'm going to make mistakes, but I'd keep getting better and more consistent.
I'm excited for the new changes I have planned for my blog! Presently, there's a new category on the blog where I talk about my skin and my journey of battling with ACNE. Hopefully, this would help the "acne prone" society and help us get to a place where we are comfortable with our skin and also find products that would help fight acne.
For those that read my blog at all this year, thank you very much! It's the support that encourages me.
2016 would be a better year- spiritually, mentally, physically, academically, financially, emotionally. AMEN.
Have you written your goals for 2016? It's not too late, you can write them down now and work towards achieving them.
Believe in yourself x
